"The secret things belong to the LORD our God,
but the things that are revealed
belong to us and to our children forever,

that we may do all the words of this law."
(Deuteronomy 29:29)

If this 'ho' can be made holy, then there is hope

He has made everything beautiful in His time;
also He has set eternity in their heart,
so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end.

(Ecclesiastes 3:11)

When i was young, i thought, "Oh, alright already, i'm a bad girl. i might as well do it 'excellently' because there's no chance of me being a saint, right?"

Right?

Now i see:

Yes, i'm a sinner,

But i can receive God's justice and forgiveness

(the penalty is death, but God took our place, if we let Him)

And i can claim God's power

(to desire and develop godliness)

And encounter God's very presence

(ask and you shall receive)

Through Him and only Him

we can be bold enough to seek Him

Through Him and only Him

we can be worthy enough to face Him

Through Him and only Him

we can be bold enough and worthy enough to represent Him

And show that if this 'ho can be made holy

Then there really is a God,

all-powerful and all-wise

all-just and all-loving

And there is hope for all of us.

Don't be afraid or ashamed and don't be discouraged.
You won't be disappointed.

Forget how sinful you were when you were young;
stop feeling ashamed for being left a widow.

The LORD All-Powerful, the Holy God of Israel, rules all the earth.
He is your Creator and husband, and he will rescue you.

You were like a young wife,
brokenhearted and crying because her husband had divorced her.
But the LORD your God says, "I am taking you back!

"I rejected you for a while,
but with love and tenderness I will embrace you again.

"For a while, I turned away in furious anger.
Now I will have mercy and love you forever!

"I, your protector and LORD, make this promise."

(Isaiah 54:4-8)

God's reasons *not* to give up something for Lent

(Not that it's wrong...but there are more important things :) )

During Lent, we remember God's sacrifice of Himself to save us from hell.

What about the sacrifices God requires of us?

I'd rather for you to be faithful and to know Me than to offer sacrifices. - God the Father

Instead of offering sacrifices to Me, I want you to be merciful to others. - Jesus

May this season be holy and meaningful for us all :)

my mom loves me so much...

my mom loves me so much...

...that she gave me her phone...on her birthday :p

(hey, only for the meantime! it's an emergency...!)

Happy Birthday again, Moms :)

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother" — which is the first commandment with a promise — "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." (Ephesians 6:1-3)
